Bone Marrow Drive

Hi. This is Rich Harvie from Montpelier Pharmacy.

November is National Bone Marrow Awareness Month and we have teamed up with DKMS, the worlds largest bone marrow donor center, to offer a free bone marrow screening. Every year more than 10,000 people with leukemia or lymphoma need a bone marrow transplant yet only 3 out of 10 of these patients actually receive this life-saving procedure.

The screening involves a simple painless cheek swab. You must be 18-55. You will then be listed on the national Be the Match registry until you are 61. You must agree to donate to any match and keep the registry updated on address changes or significant health changes or if you change your mind about being a donor. Donating is always voluntary. All expenses, including medical, travel, meals and lodging are completely covered for selected donors.

If you are interested in becoming a donor we will be doing the screenings from
9am - 4pm November 9th through the 13th.
Please give us a call at Montpelier Pharmacy 223-4633
if you have any questions about being a donor.
Montpelier Pharmacy, locally owned and independent.

Thank you,
Rich Harvie
